An elderly man was sent to the hospital Tuesday afternoon when he crashed into a tree outside a senior apartment complex.
The man was carted to an ambulance after the Nissan Sentra he was driving left a horseshoe parking lot in the Georgian Manor apartment complex, located at 490 Stafford Ave., at about 1:15 p.m. The man was taken to an area hospital for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The driver’s face was somewhat bloodied after his nose apparently struck something during the collision. The airbag in his vehicle was not deployed.
Police, firefighters and multiple ambulances responded to the crash.
