NEW BRITAIN – The Community Health Center of New Britain provided free oral health services to kids on Monday, part of their month long Give Kids a Smile program.
Throughout the month of February, Community Health Center, Inc., is providing free oral health services to its youngest patients without dental insurance through the Give Kids a Smile program. All children who attend will receive cleanings, exams, restorative care, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings and dental education.
“Dental care is often overlooked as an important aspect of primary care. Dental health issues are linked to greater health indicators and problems, and it is especially important to have consistent and quality dental routines in children,” gabby Pantalena said in a post on CHC’s website. “CHC is proud to be the home for many families’ dental care, and the organization hopes that these state-wide events will encourage regular dental hygiene care and awareness in families.”
CHC will host Give Kids a Smile program events in Norwalk, Danbury, Enfield, Middletown, Stamford, Waterbury, New London and Old Saybrook over the rest of February.
