Robert Genuario pets his newly adopted dog , Buddy, a blind 8 year old Labrador retriever as they walk in the backyard. Due to glaucoma both of Buddy's eyes required surgery and removal while up for adoption at the Connecticut Humane Society's Newington location.

Buddy, a blind 8 year old Labrador retriever walks with her halo attached which aids in avoiding bumping into objects as she walks. Buddy was adopted by Robert Genuario and Samela Santana from the Newington location of the Connecticut Humane Society recently.
